Basic Kite Course in Monterrey

Did you buy a kite and want to learn how to use it correctly? Are the instructions not entirely clear how to assemble your equipment? Monterrey Power Kites starts the wind season by offering a series of clinics introduction and development of safety practices so that you get the most out of your sail without taking risks.

PROGRAM

First Session – "Basic knowledge of kiting"

• Presentation and Introduction
• Essential Security Measures
• Know the wind and its strength
• Parts of a kite
• How to assemble
• How to disarm and save
• Basic equipment care
• Posture and handling
• Basic maneuvers
• What to look for when buying a used kite
• If the wind allows it, advanced maneuvers
• Exercises
• Question Session

Second session – "Practice"

• Each person takes his or her equipment and applies the knowledge acquired during the first session. The instructor helps each participant become familiar with his or her equipment, as well as answer specific questions during the free flight.

Depending on the needs of the group, the clinic can focus on land traction kites (buggy and jumping) or to get started in Kitesurfing (skateboards are used to explain).

Necessary material:
Comfortable footwear (TENNS recommended)
Pants
Helmet (highly recommended skateboard type)
Lots of water to hydrate you.
A kite (not essential but it is better to use your own to get used to it)
