The course takes place in 3 lessons on midweek dates and can be taken throughout the year.
The lessons are organized as follows:
First Lesson
Grounded theory including:
- Teaching of all safety regulations;
- The theory on wind directions, flight window;
- The various types of sails and boards;
- Explanations on the schools' area of operation (spot);
- The assembly and disassembly of the sail with boom;
- Differences between 2 and 4 cable booms;
- Explanation of the use of depower,
- Use of the 4-cable emergency release system.
Land sailing with a small two-line sail to become familiar with the craft and learn the wind zones.
Land management with sail with 4 traction cables, teaching of the use of depower, equipment provided by the school which includes: trapeze, bar and sail.
NB: The first lesson is not timed but ends when the student demonstrates that he knows how to use the 4 cables well, approximately 2/3 hours needed.
Price 100 euros, the lesson takes place on the Loano beach..
SecondLesson:
One hour of individual traction dragged in the water, body drag alone without an instructor followed by a support boat, dinghy, emergency simulation, unhooking the sail and upwind, going up the wind in drag without a board, equipment provided by the school which includes: trapeze, life jacket, helmet and sail and wetsuit.
Third Lesson:
One hour of individual simulation of starting in the water with equipment provided by the school which includes: Board with leash, harness, life jacket, helmet and sail.
The lessons are held in Loano, starting from the port of Marina di Loano by dinghy.
