We offer one-hour hacks from our riding centre into Ashdown Forest. Stunning scenery, open skies and well-maintained trails make this the perfect place for horse riding.
To make the most of our surroundings, we have some magnificent horses. They love getting out into nature just as much as we do, and they come in different shapes and sizes to suit any visitor.
An experienced guide will lead the hack, taking the group on a ride that avoids paved roads and reveals extensive views. They can tailor the route and pace to the level of the group. It doesn’t matter if this is your first or your five hundredth ride, you’ll feel comfortable with us.
You need to wear long trousers and boots with a heel, wellies are okay if you don’t have anything better. We’ll provide the hats, but please dress appropriately for the time of year. Our weight limit requirement is 15 stones for each participant.

We ride out every day of the week, but hacks are subject to our availability and teaching schedule. Get in touch to talk about options on your day of choice!
Our weight limit requirement is 15 stones for each participant.

We are a riding centre set in the heart of this wild area of hills and heathland. Horse riding on the paths, tracks and bridleways of the landscape is a second-to-none experience, especially as there are no paved roads to deal with.
Why not join us for a 1.5-hour hack? An experienced guide will use all their local knowledge to take you on a journey of discovery that delights your senses and disconnects you from the stresses of daily life.
Our hacks are suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds. If this is your first time in the saddle, we’ll assign you a gentle horse and take it slow. Experienced riders, on the other hand, can enjoy cantering and covering a lot of ground.
We’ll provide you with a riding hat and all the necessary horseriding tack. You should dress appropriately for the weather forecast and wear a pair of boots with a heel or wellies. Our weight limit requirement is 15 stones for each participant.

From our riding school, we can take you hacking in the unspoilt landscape of Ashdown Forest without crossing or riding on an inch of paved road. This activity is like a therapy session for your body and mind. You’ll exercise alongside your horse as you enjoy peace, quiet and panoramic views.
Our expert guides will choose the route and pace to match your ability level, meaning you can come hacking with us even if it’s your first time. Equally, experienced riders are welcome to cater across the countryside with us.
There’s nothing better than exploring the landscape of Ashdown Forest, the place that inspired A A Milne to create the Winnie the Pooh stories, on one of our noble horses.
