Horseback riding route through Montserrat Natural Park 1h

Exploring the Montserrat Natural Park is much more exciting on horseback, what are you waiting for to come and check it out? We have prepared a 1-hour horseback riding route with an ideal itinerary to discover this impressive rocky area.

It will be a 5 kilometer excursion, so it is perfect for a first contact with the equestrian world. Furthermore, before starting the route, one of our riding instructors will give you a short briefing in which you can learn the basics of horseback riding. 

When all the knowledge is clear and there are no doubts, we will begin the route, always guided by our expert instructor. We will leave from our ranch, in the heart of the Montserrat Mountain Natural Park, heading towards the Plá del Mas Roig. We will follow the Camino de Santiago, passing by the hermitage of Sant Jaume, from the 12th century and with Romanesque style.

When we arrive at Plá del Mas Roig we can stop to contemplate the incredible views of Montserrat from its viewpoint. After taking some postcard-worthy photos, we will head back to our ranch.

This equestrian adventure is perfect for families, you will only have to be over 12 years old and have authorization from your legal guardian if you are under 18 years old. For the rest, we only recommend that you bring long pants, closed shoes, sunglasses and water.

Come and see our ranch in Castellbell i el Vilar and embark on an equestrian adventure that you will not forget. We want you to discover all the secrets of the Monserrat Natural Park on the back of one of our docile and elegant horses.

If you are a lover of nature and the equestrian world, this one and a half hour route is for you. We will travel 8 kilometers through the spectacular trails that surround our facilities. We are in a privileged location that allows us to fully enjoy the views of the Montserrat Mountain, as well as the Camino de Santiago.

Before starting the excursion, one of our professional riding instructors will be waiting for you at the ranch with everything prepared. You will only have to come with comfortable clothing, long pants and closed shoes. We take care of everything else.

Furthermore, it doesn't matter if you don't have experience riding a horse, we will give you a short briefing in which you can acquire basic riding knowledge. That is why this simple route is suitable for all those over 12 years old and who do not exceed 90 kg in weight.

The route will take us through different religious temples, the hermitage of Sant Jaume de Castellbell and the hermitage of Sant Esteve de Marganell, two examples of Catalan rural Romanesque art. We will also pass through Can Carné and the Plá del Mas Roig, with its incredible viewpoint overlooking Montserrat.
