2.5h Horse Ride +Afternoon Tea at Slieve an Orra

This horse ride through the North Antrim Hills followed by an exclusive afternoon tea, for example. We love showing our visitors the best of what this part of Northern Ireland has to offer, and treating them like royalty for an afternoon.

Our riding stables are outside the village of Armoy, in the shadow of striking hills, including the peak of Slieve an Orra. We’ll ride out into the hills until we reach our private mountain cabin, where we serve a delicious afternoon tea comprising sandwiches, scones, sweet treats and hot and cold drinks.

Then we’ll ride back. This part of the ride will depend on your ability level. If you’re a beginner, we’ll go back to the stables and have a quick skills session. Experienced riders can enjoy hacking around a longer route back to the stable. We will have assessed your ability before setting out.

We can run this 2.5-hour experience for couples or groups of all and mixed riding levels. We have over 40 horses, so we can match you up carefully with a mount - we will need some information about you before the ride to help us do this.

On horseback, we will take you riding into the Antrim Hills, to marvel at views that cover five counties and to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea. This is a 4-hour experience that’s a fantastic experience turned reality.

You don’t have to be an experienced rider to enjoy this excursion, you can be at beginner or intermediate level. We will start the session by choosing the right horse for you, based on your information supplied in advance, and assessing your ability.

Then we’ll set off from our riding centre in County Antrim, outside Armoy village, into the hills. After enjoying the views, we’ll lead you to our exclusive cabin on the mountainside where afternoon tea is served. Eat your fill of scones and cakes, sandwiches and fresh fruit, accompanied by tea, coffee and soft drinks.

On the way back, we do an energetic hack or a steady trek depending on your level. Whether you bring your special someone, your family, or a group of friends, you’ll arrive back at the stables feeling renewed and rejuvenated.
