Join us for a beach ride on Climbing Beach, Littlehampton. It’s the fabric that dreams are woven from, and it’s so simple to organise. We’ll meet by the beach and ride across a huge expanse of golden sand exposed and shining in the sun at low tide. After an hour’s riding, we can rest and recuperate at a cosy pub!
This ride is for intermediate to advanced level riders. We recommend 3 years’ riding experience as a minimum. This is because we will be trotting and cantering on a range of surfaces, including loose dry sand and wet sand.
You will complete a form in advance of the experience that will help us organise the ride and the horse you’ll mount according to your riding level, weight and height.
All riders must bring their own safety equipment, including riding hats and appropriate footwear and clothes.
A highly experienced ride leader will lead the group of up to 5 participants. For more information, contact us and we are happy to discuss the activity further. We can also talk about alternative locations, available on request, which include Camber Sands and West Wittering.

When your activity starts and finishes
Beach rides take place at low tide, usually around 10 am and 5 pm. Meeting times will be confirmed closer to the day of the ride.
