This is an easy excursion within the Cottian Alps Park (former Natural Park of the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand) with the destination col Blegier and the curious peat bog which is found here.
During the excursion we will talk about animals and plants and enjoy the beautiful views. Being inside a protected area it will be more likely that we will have sightings.
The Great Forest of Salbetrand is home to a large number of deer and roe deer.
The Park was established for the protection of the conifers present here: fir trees, spruce trees, stone pines, Scots pines, larches...
The peat bog area, particular because it is at high altitude, is rich in vegetation typical of humid environments and there is no shortage of orchids.
The excursion will be led by Valsusa mountain guides.
