Hiking route to La Mesa in Candelaria 4 hours

Discover the Tenerife island as it deserves, with a hiking route in La Mesa. A 4-hour excursion that will take us to the Corona Forest Natural Parkwhere we can feel an overwhelming silence and contemplate some beautiful views of the landscape of this Canary Island.

Get to know the essence of Tenerife with this hiking excursion through its deep ravines, its fertile lands located at mid-height of the island and the largest area that enjoys protection. You will only need hiking boots, comfortable clothing and something to drink and eat, and bring your 6 friends and family who best spend time in nature, since we will need a minimum of 7 people.

The interesting thing about this route is the contrasts that the botanical environment that houses these areas gives us, both pine forest ecosystems and tabaibal cardonal coexist here, also sharing the space with old crop fields, several wells, as well as galleries.

Our hiking route begins from the La Florida ravine, in the town of Araya, in the Candelaria municipality of Tenerife strong>. As we enter the Corona Forestal Natural Park, the environment that will surround us will be dominated by large Canarian pines. We will reach 550 meters in height until we reach Casa de La Mesa, a construction that protects a curious historical background.

From this point, we will travel along cobbled paths until we suddenly find ourselves in the Chacorche ravine where we find the end of this hiking route. This journey can start from the Chacorche ravine and end in the La Florida ravine, although we will take this route that starts from La Florida.
