Do you like walking and, above all, exploring mountain trails? Sign up for this hiking excursion that will take you to know the Sierra de Gilena in depth. You will begin the journey until you reach the beautiful municipality of Estepa. In total, 10 hours and a large number of landscapes and curiosities to discover.
Although the guide will adapt the pace to the level of the group, it is advisable to have some experience in this type of outings. Also come equipped with water and food. With these little tips you will be prepared to start the route that will take you to discover theEye of Gilena, a spectacular karstic aquifer.
The guide, who will also act as an interpreter, will take you through beautiful trails to the heart of the Sierra. You will reach Corralones, an ancient settlement where shepherds carried out their daily work. Afterwards, you will reach the sensational Acebuchal viewpoint, from where you will see Paradas, Marchena and Arahal.
Next you will practice a descent through theLoma de los Colchones. This route will allow you to access Las Llanadas, the last point until you access the Sierra del Becerrero. Along one of its paths you will reach Estepa, but before that you will have walked among centuries-old almond trees.
Finally, you will enter Estepa through Trascastillo, a point from which you will ascend to Cerro de San Cristobal. You will visit its historical complex and the facilities of the mantecados factory. An exciting route!
