Guided route along Camino de Moguer

Do you want to take the walk that the Rocío brotherhoods do from Huelva? Come with us and enjoy a guided route with a monitor, from the Camino de Moguer to the village of El Rocío. Throughout the day we will pass through numerous points of interest, which will make you experience a wonderful adventure, in the company of other walkers.

The activity begins in Los Cabezudos, an old town in Almonte, now uninhabited; Then we will go to Arroyo de la Rocina, which is located within the Doñana National Park and has been declared a protected area.

Next we will walk through the Gato pine forest and through the gallery forest that extends along the riverbank;where we will be surprised by the exuberance of the vegetation that almost completely prevents the entry of the sun's rays. Willows, cattails, wild vines and ash trees will be some of the species we will see.

During the walk we will also have the opportunity to hear the sound of some of the birds that fly over this sky, such as orioles, purple herons, terns and warblers. In addition, we will pass by the Acebron Palace, where we will take a break for lunch.

We will resume the route along the path parallel to the Cañada stream, until we reach our objective: El Rocío, a place of pilgrimage for so many faithful of the Catholic religion.
