Mountaineering can be risky when practised in Winter, which is why it is so important to cover the basic safety techniques before starting with the sport.
In this course, you will learn everything we need to know before going Winter mountaineering: from footwork to avalanche awareness! Our instructor will also teach you how to use the necessary tool when Winter mountaineering: crampons and ice axes.
During these 2 days, you will learn everything there is to know about harnesses and gear! And of course, we will also teach you how to build anchors with ropes!
After we have learnt the basics, we will be ready to start Winter mountaineering and put into practice everything we have learnt! Your instructor will give you some advice as you go and ensure your safety at all times.
The perk of this private session in the Torridon Mountains is that we can adapt the session to your wants and needs!
For safety reasons, we only allow 4 people per group.
