Wrong! We are on a mission to open up the world of aviation to the general public, one introductory helicopter flight day at a time. We put these events on at Halfpenny Green Airport, Wolverhampton.
This is a programme of events that starts with “ground school” - flight theory and helicopter basics - followed by a close up look at one of these flying machines in the hangar, and then a 10-minute flight for each participant. A light lunch is included, as are tea, coffee and snacks.
The flights take place in one of the most famous civilian helicopters in the world, a Robinson R22. It’s a lightweight, manoeuvrable model that’s favoured for its reliability, simplicity and cockpit visibility. Anyone over 14 years old
