It is a totally different tour where you can go into the jungle to observe how the gum is extracted from the trees, you will see how the chicle experts climb the trees to remove the material they use and then process it and produce gum. This visit also allows you to live with a Mayan community and see their customs and traditions that they preserve today.
Then we will go to the beautiful Chunyaxche lagoon located in the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve, the largest protected natural area in the state of Quintana Roo, its 650 thousand hectares. They are made up of beaches, dunes, lagoons, canals, an archaeological zone and tropical jungle. We will tour canals and the lagoon aboard a boat where you can appreciate spectacular natural landscapes while listening to the songs of birds and observing the flora and fauna of the place, you can see herons, ospreys, manatees and even crocodiles crossing the lagoons.
The tour through the mangroves of the jungle is really relaxing because we will be surrounded by nature and the turquoise blue waters of the canals. We will reach a point in a channel where you can swim and float to let yourself be carried by the current. On your return you will enjoy a delicious food typical of the region.
