Two hour guided tour of Castel del Monte Puglia
General information
Deal overview
Come and discover the charm and mystery of Castel del Monte thanks to this two-hour guided tour.
Castel del Monte is considered the most important medieval monument in southern Italy, known for its particular octagonal shape and whose history is still shrouded in mystery.
During this guided tour we will immerse ourselves in the splendor of this magnificent castle, built by Frederick II of Swabia. Castel del Monte is located on a hill, in the heart of Puglia, and the view it offers is simply spectacular.
After years of abandonment, during which it was stripped of its furnishings and decorations, it became the home of shepherds and bandits. It was subsequently purchased by the Italian state and in 1996 it was declared a UNESCO heritage site.
During this journey we will discover the exterior and interior of the castle, and you will learn the secrets behind the reasons for its construction.
The visit is managed by a certified and qualified tourist guide. It will be a journey of constant discovery into the heart of this wonderful region.
