Pulque and historic center Zacatlán tour 1 day

Do you like pulque and would you like to know the process of its production? We have a totally different and interesting excursion to learn about the production process of pulque, one of the most famous drinks in Mexico and of pre-Hispanic origin. The tour takes place in the Magic Town of Zacatlán de las Manzanas where we will also visit its historic center and its most emblematic places.

Pulque, also known as aguamiel, is a traditional Mexican drink and its consumption continues to be common in many regions of the country due to the nutrients it contains, and it is becoming more and more fashionable, even now we can find pulque of different flavors.

Our tour will take you to discover the world of pulque, first getting to know the maguey plantations and then observing its production process with the scraping of aguamiel, an activity carried out by a tlachiquero. After seeing this interesting process, you will be able to taste the drink naturally and its curing, as well as its derived products. At the same time you can try some delicious tlacoyos, a typical snack of the region.

Afterwards we will go to the historic center of Zacatlán to see its most picturesque places:
