Cheese and paper tour in Valle de Etla 4.5 hours

It is worth mentioning that this guided tour will last 4 and a half hours starting in the morning. We will leave from the lobby of your hotel heading towards the Etla Valley to make our first stop, which will be the former hydroelectric plant. This building is located exactly in San Agustín Etla and it will be where we will go down to learn about the process and production of paper from natural fibers such as pigments, cotton and tree bark. In this cooperative you will also find souvenirs and handmade jewelry, so we suggest you bring money in case you feel like purchasing an object.

The next place to visit will be theSan Agustín Arts Centeror also known as CaSa. Upon arrival we will appreciate the architecture of its façade and the contemporary style. Here we will also find the old yarn and weaving factory La Soledad, we will hear a little about its history and how blankets made with raw cotton were manufactured.

We will end this tour by visiting a local family that produces the most delicious cheese in all of Mexico, theoaxaca cheese or also known as quesillo, you can also learn about cottage cheese. Prepare your palate to taste it!
