The Carmen Museum was a religious monastery, which today houses more than 12 mummies and hundreds of religious pieces, surrounded by a large garden. It was built between 1613 and 1628, thanks to the Barefoot Carmelites.
From San Ángel we go to the famous Bazar Sábado, founded in 1960 and it is full of Mexican crafts, from the most typical to the finest. You can find pieces of ceramic, wood, glass, silver and even pictures with beautiful paintings. Here we give you some time so that you can make your shopping and when we finish our shopping at the bazaar, we begin our tour in Chimalistac, where we can see old chapels and bridges made of stone, all in a colonial atmosphere.
The word Chimalistac comes from prehistory and takes as its meaning "where the sacrificial stone is carved." To date it is an area where the bridges that we will observe and the different buildings with colonial style are preserved.
