Our meeting point will be at Cais da Ribeira. Once here you can board the Douro Acima or Tomaz do Douro boats that leave from the dock. You will only have to download the ticket to your mobile phone and show it to one of these two operators.
Pass over the six emblematic bridges of Porto in a rabelo, a typical Portuguese boat in which port wine barrels were formerly transported.
You will see the Don Luis I Bridge, one of the most beautiful and photographed bridges in all of Europe. It was designed by the same author who created the Eiffel Tower. It measures around 395 meters long and 8 meters wide!
You can also admire the Arrábida Bridge, popular for being the one closest to the Atlantic Sea at 270 meters long and 70 meters high. In 2013 it was named a National Monument!
You will pass by theMaría Pía Bridge and São João Bridge, two impressive bridges that you can navigate and observe from the river with a different point of view. And finally, the Freixo Bridge and the Infante Bridge, the latter one of the most recent in the city.
