This is a visit to the mining complex of Pozo de Sotón, an exploitation located in San Martín del Rey Aurelio, an Asturian city with a great historical and cultural tradition, which even has rock engravings of the prehistory. It is undoubtedly an unparalleled environment, where the Nalón River is also located, which turns the landscape into a place full of life and nature.
An expert monitor will guide you along the route, which will begin with a visit to the mining facilities, where you will be able to see the complex machinery and learn how it works. Next, we will provide you with all the safety materials (helmet, boots, etc.) that miners usually wear to descend to the depths of the earth.
You will know first-hand the sensations that miners experience, and you will learn about obtaining minerals necessary for the manufacture of a multitude of tools and other uses. You will even perform extraction techniques, such as chopping coal, drilling, etc.
