Fishing trip along the Bidasoa River, 1 full day

You will catch trout and other types of fish in the waters of the Bidasoa, a river that runs through the Baztán Valley and originates in Ispéguy.

This area is perfect for good fishing, since it is the most famous in Navarra for the large amount of fish that live in this river. We can also go to another river known as the Bastan de Bidarray located in France. In this river the best fishing is fly fishing since the fish usually stick their snouts out of the water.

If we want to catch trout of about 30 centimeters we will have to travel to Doneztebe Santesteban, a town in Navarra north of Pamplona. Here the Bidasoa River is wider and therefore the species are larger. The most popular fish in this area have large black spots.

Although access is easier in this lower section of the Bidasoa, you will be accompanied at all times by a professional guide and monitor who will help you in certain situations in the environment and teach you all the basic techniques. /strong> to achieve successful fishing.
