Deal overview
We fish for various species according to season. In the winter Cod, Whiting and Conger Eels for example and in the summer months Bream, Plaice, Bass, Turbot and various small shark species. Typically we go up to about 14 miles out.
Our cabin is accessible to customers and it is heated in the winter too. All our boats are coded for 60 miles offshore and are certified by the MCA.
Individual vouchers can be purchased and redeemed for up to one year after purchase. Multiple vouchers are possible but if for many people please bear in mind the maximum number of passengers per boat is 12 under UK small boat coding regulations. We can provide multiple boats if required though.
We nearly always catch fish as our skippers are very good at finding the fish with the special marks. We encourage sustainable fishing so protected and undersize fish go back in to fight another day but sensible bags of edible fish can be taken home with you in the heavy duty sacks we provide for the purpose.
You are advised to bring a packed lunch and wear clothes as you would for a day out in the countryside if you do not have dedicated fishing clothing. Don't forget your suntan lotion too and a hat just in case! A camera of camera phone is a good idea too so that you can record that shark before you pop them back in the water for that photo opportunity moment!
All the rods, reels, end tackle and bait are provided for you and tuition and help is on hand from your skipper or crew.
We normally depart from Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth which has excellent parking facilities. There is a main line railway station just a couple of minutes walk away too.
What does the activity include
Rod, reel, end tackle and bait or lures are included.
Breakfast and Lunch are not included but can be arranged if required.
Tuition or coaching if required.
Tea and Coffee available for free all day.
Heavy duty sacks to take your catch home with you, if you are lucky enough to catch some of course!
