As a lover of climbing you have surely heard of the Risco del Pájaro, an imposing granite rock that is located in La Pedriza. On this cliff of 1,549 meters of altitude is the Vía Sur Clásica, this "enjoyable" way gives us 1 full day of climbing

This is undoubtedly a challenge for those climbers already experienced in rock and in love with La Pedriza. The route we have in hand is, without being arrogant, one of the best climbing routes in Spain. Don't worry about the fame of the way, our instructors will be assuring you at all times and will provide all the necessary climbing material so that the Vía Sur Clásica falls before our climbing feet.

Shall we start the adventure? The cantocochino will be our starting point, next to the bed of the Manzanares it is the perfect place to breathe fresh air and begin our "hard" approach. We must keep in mind that it takes 1 hour and a half (long) to reach our Risco del Pájaro, a journey that flies by thanks to the beauty of nature that accompanies us at all times .

Once we reach the base of Risco del Pájaro the beginning of the way becomes very intuitive, we hope you are prepared, 5 pitches await you with a certain level of difficulty that we will easily face thanks to the help of our mountain instructors. Depending on the level, it will take us 3-4 hours to reach the top of Pájaro. The rappel descent lasts less than 2 hours.

When is the best time to face the Bird? This way can be done at any time of the year, we like to do it in autumn, when the coolness begins to be felt but the sun is still comforting and also, as an added value, The Pedrizais beautiful during this season.
