Suppose you join us in a quiet valley near Keswick. In that case, you can embark on an adventure at Stoneycroft Ghyll, which will challenge you in many ways, provide stunning natural sights and get the adrenaline pumping; however, if you want all that and more with even more thrills. In that case, we offer around four hours of fun at Stoneycroft Ghyll and extreme canyoning.
After the enormous leaps of faith, swimming in the cold and sliding into rock pools and more, the participants of the standard ghyll experience would head back home, but the ultimate adventure seekers can continue with this session.
Your adrenaline will fly as we venture deep into the canyon below as you learn even more skills on top of the many skills you learn while ghyll scrambling; in particular, you will get to grips with abseiling as we head deeper and deeper, navigating waterfalls, large rocks and more.
All this fun can only happen with the expert insights and guidance of one of our experienced instructors leading you on your way.
Not only will your guide provide local knowledge of the valley's hidden secrets and teach you a variety of skills that will build your confidence and abilities immensely, especially with beginners who are more than welcome, but they will also implement a host of safety measures to ensure this session run smoothly.
To do this, we provide a safety briefing before the adventure and offer you all the necessary equipment, including a wetsuit, long johns and jacket, 5mm neoprene oversocks, a helmet, buoyancy aid, and spray top as well as safety equipment for abseiling.
We strongly advise that you bring suitable footwear such as a pair of trainers or walking boots, swimwear under your wetsuit, shorts for over the top of the wetsuit, spare underwear, and a towel.
While we invite over 8's to join our sessions, they can join us on this expedition if they are accompanied by a parent or legally appointed guardian, with no exceptions, as this is a legal requirement for anyone under the age of 18.
