No experience is required to embark on a gorge walking adventure in Eskdale, but you must be able to swim at least 25 metres because there will be lots of swimming and water-filled action, so a high level of fitness is also required.

An escapade in the Esk Gorge offers so much, from the stunning scenery of the surrounding mountains to the serene waters, you will gaze in wonder throughout the five hour session.

Beyond beautiful views, this gorge walk provides non-stop action where you can challenge yourself in the wild; whether it is the exhilarating high jumps you must take on or the thrilling scrambles and more, you won't be lacking in any adrenaline or excitement throughout this adventure.

What makes this gorge walk so special is the experienced instructor that will guide you through the many challenges, ensure you have a fun day out, and learn lots of new skills with your family and friends, all while keeping safe.

To make your birthday party, stag and hen party, corporate event or whatever special day out as safe as it can be, we will provide a safety briefing before the session and also give you all the equipment that you need, such as a wetsuit, long johns and jacket, 5mm neoprene oversocks, a helmet for extra protection, buoyancy aid, and spray top.

We advise you to bring some suitable footwear such as a pair of trainers or walking boots, swimwear under your wetsuit, shorts for over the top, a spare change of underwear, a packed lunch and a towel for drying afterwards. Although we invite over 12's to join our sessions, they can only do so if accompanied by a parent or legally appointed guardian, with no exceptions, as this is a legal requirement for anyone under 18.
