We take you to discover the Mélaghia Canyon for half a day!
The Mélaghia Canyon is located in the Mélaghia Gorges, in the Bonifato Forest Regional Natural Park! This canyonis located in the middle of the mountainand is dominated by cliffs reaching up to 2300 m in height! This is a canyon that is not very busy and is quite sporty, which includes almost all the obstacles that can be encountered in canyoning.
We will meet you in Calvi, and the exact meeting place will be sent to you before the activity. Here you will meet our instructor, the rest of the participants and head towards the canyon with a free shuttle. Arriving at the edge of the park, your instructor will brief you on the descent, equip you and give you the safety instructions to follow during the activity.
You will then leave for a 45-minute approach walk before arriving at the canyon. The approach walk will therefore take place in the Regional Park to the delight of nature lovers! You will be in the heart of the Bonifato massif, far from everything and in a breathtaking setting!
Once you arrive at the canyon, you will enjoy three hours of sensations and escape! You will do natural slides, rappels, jumps, swimming... You will also have the opportunity to cross rope bridges and go zip lining! Once the activity is finished, you will debrief with your instructor during the return walk which lasts only 20 minutes.
Note:
- The minimum age for this canyon descent is 12 years old.
- The maximum group size is eight people!
- We kindly ask you to bring a picnic, a snack and water.
- Don't forget your sports shoes, your swimsuit and your sunscreen!
- We advise you to come and experience this canyon between April and mid-July.
