Canyoning in Ribeira dos Caldeirões Azores 3h

If you are not really passionate about adventure and are always looking for adrenaline and original plans in the middle of nature, perhaps this is not for you. If you are, you will enjoy canyoning like never before with this 3-hour route through the east of the island of São Miguel. An ideal day where you can discover from within one of the most spectacular islands of the Azores.

The meeting point for the activity will be at the Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões, in Achada. Once there, you will be provided with a wetsuit, a helmet and the rest of the materials you will need for the activity. Then we will take a short walk to the river where our instructor will give you a brief training and safety talk.

Throughout the route you will have to overcome a large number of very varied obstacles such as vertical walls or waterfalls in which you will have to use different rappelling techniques. You will also make fun jumps into the water from ledges, go through water slides and have other quieter moments of walking to rest.

As a recommendation, do not forget to bring a bottle of water, a lycra t-shirt suitable for water and a waterproof backpack to store your phone and other belongings during this canyoning activity.

The adventure is canyoning. Few outdoor sports activities offer as much as this. You will be able to explore spectacular natural landscapes while doing several exercises and also releases adrenaline when they rapel or jump from a waterfall in the water. We propose a Path of Canyoning Exclusive of 3 hours NOS Azores through the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park . br />
We will find us south of São Miguel , in Ponta Delgada . From there we will leave on a trip of about 40 minutes towards the northeast of the island. When we go down the vehicle we will continue on foot, taking a walk of just over 15 minutes to the point where the briefing and canyoning material will be distributed to all members of the group.
This canyon is very complete as it has several types of obstacles and is inserted in an enviable natural environment. You will have to overcome walls and waterfalls rape, jump into the water from protrusions and slide at all speed by the toboggan.
Then you will leave you a helmet and neoprene for canyoning, but be sure to bring water to stay hydrated and a special bag where you can store your phone, wallet and other protected water belongings.
