Start of canyoning with photos in Pontevedra

Do you want to learn to descend canyons in Galicia? In this initiation ravine on the Almofrei River, a few kilometers from Pontevedra, you can begin in an impressive rural environment.

The Almofrei is a tributary of the Lérez river, which begins at Monte do Seixo. The starting point will be at the Pontevedra bus station, and we will begin our march towards the aquatic ravine, which is very dynamic and easy for those who want to get started.

It does not require a great physical experience, although we will go through areas that are difficult to access, but it is perfect if you want to disconnect and relax in the countryside with children, family, friends, etc. Even to celebrate a special occasion to experience new emotions with those closest to you.

It has numerous pools, jumps of between 3 and 6 meters, and slides. If for any reason you don't feel like moving through some area, don't worry because we can avoid them and go the other way, but don't let fear stop you from having fun!

The duration ranges between 2 and 3 hours, although it usually depends on the pace of each group.To carry out this activity you will need all the material, which we will provide you: one-piece neoprene (jacket and bib) or two-piece (long-sleeved), neoprene socks, helmet, and ropes. Shoes are not included, so you should bring good canyon boots or trekking shoes to protect you from the cold and prevent friction and slipping.
