Challenge yourself to complete a fun canoeing adventure!

Lasting 6 hours, you will explore the most famous of all English Lakes, Windermere. This is the jewel in the crown of the Lake District National Park, and you’ll see why when you discover it from the water.

We meet in Ambleside and introduce the participants to the watersports guides, then provide transport along the lake to the launch point, at the southern end of the lake. Setting off, we’ll pass Storr Hall and numerous islands, stop in Bowness-on-Windermere and/or at a secluded spot to enjoy a picnic (not provided), before continuing on to return to Ambleside.

It’s a real adventure, taking in stunning scenery and wildlife too. We use Canadian canoes for these trips, which have space for 2 paddlers each and their belongings.

They’re also very easy to use, so we can take first-timers and families with children aged 10 or above. All safety equipment is included, which will keep you dry, safe and warm as you travel.
