Our biggest boat is Raffles, a 25-foot day cruiser with a showerproof canopy, kitchenette and chemical loo. And, what’s more, it’s powered by an eco-friendly electric motor!
It’s moored on Brandy Island by Buscot Lock and available for full-day exclusive hire. This is an excellent starting point for journeys up or down England’s most important river.
With eight hours of sailing time, you can see a lot of the beautiful stretch of river that straddles the Oxfordshire-Gloucestershire border. Sailing upstream will take you past the 800-year-old Trout Inn in Lechlade-on-Thames and St John’s Lock, the highest lock on the whole river. In the other direction are meanders and meadows that lead to Kelmscott, Radcot and Tadpole Bridge.
The maximum capacity for this boat is eight people, but we recommend bringing at least 2 small children in the group for comfort reasons. The person making the booking must be over 21. Small or medium-sized dogs are welcome too. We offer life jackets to all human crew members!
