You’ll find the Tranquillo at Buscot Lock, where the young River Thames snakes down from the Cotswold Hills, around Brandy Island and on towards the city of Oxford.

You can hire this charming river boat for a full day and explore this little-known part of the River Thames. We recommend going with the flow, letting the current take you downstream past the villages of Kelmscott and Radcot.

There are some fine riverside pubs to stop at for lunch and many more spots on the river banks that are perfect for picnics. Please don’t go beyond Tadpole Bridge - it takes 3 hours to get there but 3.5 hours to get back!

The Tranquillo is the right size for four adults but family groups of five with children under 12 will find it comfortable too. The booking must be made by an adult over 21. We have life jackets available for children and adults.
