Gruppo Speleologico Gualdo Tadino

Starting in 1976, the Gualdo Tadino Speleological Group began a careful study of the underground environment of Perugia which it continues today with collaborations and expeditions also in other areas.

The Group was born in the same year following the discovery of the Grotta della Miniera, for the study of the same and an in-depth study in this area regarding the area of speleological interest composed of the Apennines of Gualdo Tadino, organizing expeditions for research in cavities and routes already reported or made known by experts and guides, or, in advance, in search of new routes or ascents of the explored caves.

For its incessant and serious activity the group has received several awards such as in the case of the exploration of Buco Bucone, a depression with descent routes to over -200 meters of depth.
