The Peña Txuri Surf Eskola is the ideal place for all those who enjoy their life with a board and waves. We have our facilities in Sopelana, belonging to Vizcaya, and from here we organize our surf courses and our camps on the same theme.
Whether you are an experienced surfer, a newbie who has never been on a board or an occasional surfer, we have a course for you. You can start with initiation, improve your skill or perfect those facets that still resist you. We get you the material so that you can come to our school without worrying about anything other than the state of the waters and how you will ride those huge waves that are seen today.
During the summers we organize the aforementioned surf camps, where you can spend a total adventure vacation practicing your favorite sport. From 6 to 17 years old, all children are invited to come with us, which we will do from activities directly related to surfing, as well as practicing other more distant ones in order to complement the stay. The important thing is to have a good time surrounded by nature and enjoy the experience.

Summary Surfing Camps
At the Peña Txuri Surf School we have created day camps during the months of June and July so that young people can learn the basics of this sport in one of the reference locations , Sopelana.
Our multi-adventure camps are designed to intensively experience the passion for surfing without the inconvenience of leaving home, which is why they are especially interesting for kids who live around the capital of Biscay.
We target kids between 6 and 17 years old. Given the youth of the participants, we will focus on risk-free activities in which our instructors will ensure safety at all times. In addition to surfing, they can try canoeing, climbing, skateboarding or hiking to get to know the natural environment that surrounds the school.
We offer time flexibility in the camp program:
- Full day: it lasts a total of five days, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Includes food, materials, monitors, transportation and civil liability and accident insurance.
- Half day: we will follow the same activities as in the full day option but we will finish at 2:00 p.m. Students will be able to stay with us until 3:00 p.m. and return home after eating.
In September we held a three-day end of summer camp for the same age range with monitors available 24 hours a day.

You don't know what total freedom is on a beach until you get on a board and ride the most spectacular wave of the day. That's surfing. Do you dare to try it? At Peña Txuri Surf Eskola we welcome with open arms all those who want to experience this sensation and learn to surf with us.
Experience is not something we take into account in our school. We understand that at any time a person may be interested in trying a sport, and our team is happy to welcome newbies. Therefore, do not think about whether you know anything about this activity or not, we have already taken care of teaching you everything you will need to be moving among the waves as soon as possible. And if you have already surfed on other occasions, the more advanced level courses will help you continue progressing.
We provide the board and the rest of the material necessary for the activity, thus encouraging everyone who wants to spend a few days surfing to come to our school, whether or not they have their own material. Of course you will also have accident insurance, so you will be well covered in every way.

How to get there?
rn We are in Arrietara Beach, municipality of Sopela in Bizkaia. A few kilometers from Bilbao. Our facilities are on the beach, on the promenade. You can arrive by car, you have a nearby parking lot (Barinatxe beach parking). Or use the metro that connects all of Greater Bilbao, the corresponding stop is Larrabasterra, next to the metro stop is the SopelBus stop that connects the metro with the beach. (it is a municipal service and its hours vary depending on the season), you can also take a walk to the beach. (it is about 2 km)
