Nidos de Carnota
Company Overview
In Carnota, on the Costa da Morte and very close to the well-known Carnota beach, there is a type of accommodation designed for what you really want when your head is going a mile an hour: stop, take a deep breath and notice the silence again. Here the environment rules. Atlantic forest, salty breeze and a constant feeling of being away from noise, even though you are just a step away from mythical places in the area.
Nidos de Carnota was born from a very specific passion: bird watching and respect for the environment. This idea is evident in everything, starting with the concept of its rooms, inspired by the local birdlife and designed as intimate refuges in the middle of nature. Can you imagine waking up and the first thing you see is the landscape behind a huge window, without rushing, without interruptions?
The cabin-style suites combine wood, design and a layout that invites you to stay inside... and at the same time pushes you to look outside. In the main part, the rest area is oriented towards the views, with a large bed and the exterior as a natural "screen". The bathroom is not far behind: a circular whirlpool bathtub in front of a glass window, one of those that turns a random moment into a serious plan. To complete the ritual, each room has a fireplace, private terrace and solarium area, ideal when the weather is good (on this coast, it is sometimes surprising, for better or worse).
The atmosphere is designed both for a couple's getaway and for those who travel as a family and want something different, with spaces that allow you to live together without feeling cramped. And if you are curious about the more naturalistic side of the place, the interpretation center helps you understand why this region is a small paradise for sightings: times of passage, recommended points, behavior of species, everything explained in detail. Even if you're not an expert, you leave feeling like you've learned something real.
