Are you looking for new thrills and adrenaline rushes? Have you always been curious to try bungee jumping and its sensations that all adventure lovers talk about? Now is the time to do it, and we will help you choose the option that suits you best.

Although the dream and the perfect scenario would be bungee jumping right next to the Eiffel Tower, Paris is not a region where you can jump. However, the good news is that there are several bungee jumping centers around the capital for you to try.

Where are the best areas for bungee jumping near Paris?

There are mainly four spots, which gives you enough options depending on what you are looking for and what you need:

• The Druyes Viaduct: located in the commune of Druyes-les-Belles-Fontaines, you will jump from a height of 30 meters. This bungee jump is perfect for beginners who have never had the opportunity to do this activity. This jumping area is located in the region of Yonne and invites you to jump just from a two-hour drive from Paris.

• The Saint Georges le Gaultier Viaduct: to jump from this viaduct, you will head towards the Sarthe region, towards the town that bears the same name as the viaduct. It is 2 hours and 10 minutes away from Paris and allows you to jump from a height of 45 meters. You will jump into an incredible environment, rich in vast and rustic landscapes.

• The Exermont Viaduct: this viaduct in the Ardennes is two and a half hours away from the capital. It allows you to free-fall from a height of 35 meters. It is located in the commune of Exermont and allows you to discover the fabulous landscapes of the Ardennes forests.

• The viaduct of the Souleuvre: it is located in the region of Calvados, above the Souleuvre river. It is one of the most impressive jumping areas in terms of height. In fact, you will jump from a height of 60 meters if you choose to do this one. It is a three-hour drive from Paris and offers an impressive bungee jumping for all strong feeling lovers.

What are the options for bungee jumping near Paris?

- Individual jump: this is the most classic jump, available in all bungee jumping areas. You will jump alone, after having received all the safety instructions from the trainer. Our little advice, if you can pay a bit more for a video of your experience, don't miss it. This will allow you to keep this memory forever and you will be able to see a summary of all your facial expressions and emotions in a video.

- Tandem or duo jumping: available in Saint-Georges-le-Gaultier and Souleuvre en Bocage. It allows you to share this activity with one of your loved ones with whom you will jump simultaneously, while being close to each other or even standing next to each other. This plan can also be accompanied with a photo and/or video option.

- Two consecutive jumps: always from the Souleuvre viaduct and the Sarthe region viaduct, if you want to enjoy several jumps on the same day, you can opt for this option of two consecutive jumps. Specifically on the Saint-Georges-le-Gaultier viaduct, you can even choose to jump 3 or 4 times in a row, which gives you the opportunity to try different ways of jumping, or perhaps to try to improve your jumping technique each time. The video option can also be added to this offer.

- Jump touching the water: this is unquestionably the most desired offer, but also the most difficult to find in France. It adds more fun and adrenaline to your experience, by offering you to submerge your upper body in a large pool of water once you are under the bridge. If you're in Paris and love unusual thrill-seeking adventures, you're only a two-and-a-half-hour drive away from the Exermont Viaduct, where you can do just that. And why not top it off with a video of the experience that you can proudly show off to all your friends and family?

Who can live the experience?

There are not many requirements in terms of experience. You can have never done this activity before, or you can be a bungee jumping enthusiast who has done all the France viaducts. One thing is for sure, you will have so much fun no matter your level of experience.

However, there are a few things you should know for your own safety. Minors weighing a minimum of 7 stone (45 kg) are allowed to jump at all locations near Paris, as long as they take with them to the chosen viaduct with a parental authorization signed by both parents. In addition, especially for tandem jumps, the weight is limited to 18 stone (120 kg).

Also, for people over 60 years old, a medical certificate of absence of contraindication is always required.

What to bring on the day of the activity?

We advise you to bring comfortable clothes and sport shoes so that you can perform the free-fall comfortably. Be prepared to spend an average of 3 to 4 hours on site, to have your jumping time, to ask all your questions to the instructors during a thorough explanation and to be ready to make the jump.
