Welcome to Reading Marine

We are a family run boatyard based on the Kennet & Avon Canal, with the wonderful countryside of Berkshire and Wiltshire nearby for you to explore. We have been building and hiring out our fantastic narrowboats for over 35 years, and we can provide you with help, advice and a wealth of experience, as well as a friendly and helpful service. Don´t worry if you haven´t been boating before, one of our experienced Reading Marine Co team will give you a full introduction, showing you how to drive the boat, how to operate the simple controls and the rules of navigation are. We´ll also give you a practise run to make sure you feel confident before you set off.

We have a great choice of narrowboats to offer you, and all are well equipped and with modern interiors. All have tiller steering for easy handling too.

You will find our boats comfortable and with all of the facilities that you need, including:
