Welcome to Arlen Hire Boats

We provide canal boat holidays from our base at Ashton Basin, Preston, on the beautiful Lancaster Canal. We are conveniently located close to the main rail and bus stations. Our location also gives you the whole length of the canal to cruise in one of our fantastic narrowboats.

Our Boats

Our boats have all of the facilities you will need onboard, including:

• Fully carpeted throughout
• Heating is provided by a solid fuel stove or central heating
• Hot and cold water
• Full size cooker
• Electric fridge
• Pump-out flushing toilet
• Shower
• A colour TV
• Radio/CD player

Don´t worry if you are a first timer, all of our of boats are powered by quiet, maintenance free diesel engines and are easy to handle. We will also give you a comprehensive handover before you set off, so you feel confident and relaxed when you leave for your holiday.
