Aquarium Tropical de la Porte Dorée

Created in 1931 in order to present to the general public the aquatic fauna of the French colonies, the Aquarium Tropical de la Porte Dorée today offers you a dive into the heart of rivers, seas and oceans from the four corners of the globe.

The collection now includes nearly 50,000 animals divided into 300 species! The collection continually varies through numerous exchanges with other public aquariums, purchases and donations.

Primitive Fish, Electric Fish, Asia, Africa, Sea Water...Will be some of the themes covered during your visit.

The Tropical Aquarium of the Porte Dorée also offers you the discovery of a disturbing and emblematic animal: the Alligator. Discover this animal straight out of prehistory in one of the most beautiful pits in Europe (13 meters in interior diameter).
