Company Overview

Aquarium Almuñecar is an aquarium located in this Granada town, just an hour by car from the city of Granada. It has a total area of 2,566 square meters with a volume of 2 million water that is divided into 18 aquariums. The total number of species that can be seen is more than 200, and there are a total of 3,500 specimens.

All these species are divided into two sections that contain different aquariums:

- Level 1: the first level refers to species related to the origins of the oceans and the evolution of marine species to this day. Includes all aquariums of jellyfish, cuttlefish, octopus, sessile invertebrates, rays, seahorses, needlefish, tropical aquarium and pelagic fish. It offers a global perspective of the marine world, its history and current situation.

- Level 2: This second level emulates the Mediterranean ecosystems closest to the coast of Almuñécar through a series of thematic aquariums: pools/intertidal, caves, rocky, pre-coralline, coralline, bathyal bottom and pool touches touches of pedes and Mediterranean invertebrates.

Whether you come alone or with someone, the Aquarium Almuñecar is a surprising and unique place where you can discover the secrets and wonders that the deep sea holds.
