Company Overview

The Argentario Aquarium is the teaching and educational center dedicated to the study of marine biology present in the locality of Monte di Monte Argentario.

Different courses of great interest are organized at the center's headquarters as well as away from home by the biologists and naturalists who work within this Mediterranean Aquarium.

There are three main thematic areas that involve the centre's commitment:

  • biodiversity and the study of the processes of adaptation and interaction between distinct biological communities,
  • the processes of biological evolution and the study of the criteria that regulate the current biological classification,
  • study of the environment as a complex system, with particular attention to the interaction of human species and ecosystems.

The laboratory dedicated to marine biology promotes its own research projects, mainly aimed at the health and preservation of the sea on the Silver Coast.
