Flying a microlight is one of the most affordable ways to become an aircraft pilot. A microlight is a one or two seat aircraft that weighs around 265kg. Microlights have been flown around the world and across oceans. The British Microlight Aircraft Association offers vouchers for your first flight lesson toward becoming a licensed microlight pilot or learning how to fly a foot-launched microlight which doesn´t require a license. These are some of the requirements for becoming a licensed microlight pilot with some restrictions:
- Minimum age of 14
- Minimum total flight time under instruction 15 hours
- Minimum flight time solo 7 hours
Foot-launched microlights can be flown without a license and the British Microlight Aircraft Association´s affiliate schools also offer lessons for flying these foot-launched aircraft.
So, you want to become a pilot? We provide a great syllabus full of challenges that consist of theoretical training and practical. With us, you can obtain the Microlight PIlot´s Licence with the NPPL (National Private Pilot´s Licence).
