Flytime

At Flytime we believe that the time has come for you to learn to fly hang gliding. For this we have prepared a complete course after which you will be ready to start developing yourself.

Anyone who wants to enroll in this program must be of legal age and not exceed 60 years of age. It is important that you do not suffer from any heart disease and have a medical certificate proving that this type of practice is safe for you. We will manage a learning license that entails mandatory insurance for the activity.

The course lasts between 5 days and 7 or 10 days in each of its two phases:

- First phase: this will be your initiation period to hang gliding. You will know the material and all the accessories that are used as part of the equipment. We will teach you concepts about aerodynamics, safety and meteorology. You will make up to 15 flights to develop these ideas.

- Second phase: is the adaptation phase, becoming specialized as an autonomous pilot. We will go into current flight legislation, first aid and emergency maneuvers that may occur in incidents that you may encounter. You will try up to 20 hang gliding flights.

With Flytime you will paraglide whenever you want because when you do it in tandem with an instructor who is a professional pilot, you do not need to prepare in advance. Our flight baptisms consist precisely of that, a first experience that will surely become the first of many because you will love it.

The flight areas that we propose are very varied with the aim of showing you various points of Portugal full of beauty. These are Fonte da Telha, Serra da Estrela, Praia do Meco, the Castelo de Vide area, Praia das Bicas, Serra da Arrábida, Sesimbra or the well-known city of Sintra.

For your first flight you have the assistance of the pilot who will travel with you at the same time. The duration may vary as we try to make it a journey tailored to your wishes. You can also decide the time you prefer to fly.

If you decide to take another step in this sport, we will organize a class with theory and practice to start being autonomous in paragliding. There are 4 hours of course that you will do with an instructor accredited by the FPVL who will share some basic knowledge with you. To get to fly you would only have to take higher level courses but it is a first phase that will be very interesting for you to know if you decide to continue.

Dare to try paramotoring with Flytime and you will have the opportunity to fly over some of the most beautiful locations in Portugal. We fly over the areas of Sintra, Pinhal Novo and Cabo Espichel, a delight for tourism on foot that becomes even more amazing from the air. Also, if you form a group of more than 5 people to come, you can choose another location for an even more personalized service if possible.

We use paratrikes that consist of two seats. In one of them the pilot travels and in another the passenger who will occupy the front position. Our instructors have several decades of experience and are capable of guaranteeing the safety of any journey. Additionally, before takeoff, they will evaluate the conditions of the day to determine if they are appropriate for this activity.

In your baptism of flight all you have to do is sit in the trike cart and start enjoying. The engine that the equipment has is the one that will give you the impulse for takeoff, will help keep you in the air and will control the landing once the journey is finished. You will simply need comfortable and warm clothing, depending on the date of your adventure, and hiking boots or at least sports shoes.

At Flytime we bring you one of the most exclusive forms of flight on the entire peninsula: the glider. Gliding is an experience in which you board a towed aircraft to fly through the skies, maneuvering supported only by the currents. You can try it with us from the town of Montemor which is located in Portugal.

It is an adventure that lasts around 25 minutes and is done in the company of a professional instructor. It will make you participate in all the phases that comprise the flight procedure so that you can learn a little more about this sport modality:

- You arrive at the airfield where the pilot receives you. You will approach the runway with him to see the two aircraft that will be waiting for you. The one in front corresponds to the tow plane, it is responsible for making the glider take off.

- You get on the glider while listening to the basic instructions to be part of this experience. It has two seats, placed one in front of the other, so that you can travel comfortably with the pilot who will provide you with instructions on the controls throughout the entire process.

- Once the glider is in the air, the tow plane has finished its work. You will be flying for the indicated time with smooth maneuvers until you return to the runway.

With Flytime you will kayak in Portugal in two of the best locations in the Portuguese country for it:

- Portinho da Arrábida: exercise with your paddle in the waters of its natural park, exploring the cliffs and coves that are among the most beautiful on the European continent.

- Luiz Saldanha Marinho Park: where we will be protected from ocean waves in areas with seabeds that can reach 100 meters, some of rock and others where sand predominates. We will walk through changing landscapes between deserted beaches and caves that open to the sea.

If you choose this activity you will spend around 3 and a half hours in the kayak departing from Sesimbra which is close to the Sierra de Arrábida. We can also go to the area around Serpa to row on the Guadiana River.

You will be able to share experience because the kayaks we use in this part of Portugal have two seats. All excursions follow a monitor who acts as a guide and offers you photographs of the activity after finishing it. The minimum groups to organize an outing must be 6 people.
