We teach in the hills of  the beautiful Peak District National Park.

We are a  British Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association. registerd school and  have an intimate knowledge of the conditions and typography of the derbyshire area this and our skills will make your passage to pilot a success.

Welcome to Derbyshire Flying Centre Hang Gliding!

We believe hang gliding is the most versatile way of getting airborne today because the weight shift steering is closest you will get to feel as free as a bird.

Our courses include:

• DFC Taster Day Hang Gliding: A must for novices; you will complete tethered flights of up to 30ft above the ground.
• 5 Day Elementary Course: All equipment is provided and by the end of the course you will have experienced the truly wonderful sensation of flying above our beautiful scenery.
• 5 Day Club Pilot Course: We take pride in producing competent pilots that have a high skill level and the correct attitude.

We guarantee that at the end of each course you will feel like you just defy gravity, had a safe progression and experienced a thrilling and exhilarating experience.

Welcome to Derbyshire Flying Centre Paragliding!

We offer unique paragliding opportunities in the beautiful Peak District National Park. You can choose from the following course options:

• DFC Taster Day Paragliding: A must for beginners; we will provide you with a thorough introduction to the sport and provide all the necessary equipment.
• 2 Day Paragliding Taster Course: You will leave having accomplished a number of accompanied flights.
• 5 Day Elementary Paragliding: After completing this course you will know whether or not you have the desire to progress onto our Club Pilot Course; the answer is almost always positive.
• 5 Day Club Pilot Course: Become your own pilot!
• Speed Paragliding: This our newest and most intense offer for those pilots who are seeking more adrenaline and adventure. this session consists of a combination of flying in wind speed up to 25 mph and 16-metres! You can blend mountaineering or skiing with the air sport. You need to be a master in paragliding to try this!

Welcome to Derbyshire Flying Centre Paramotoring!

Anyone can learn to paramotor; although a degree of fitness is required with our expert guidance you will soon pick up the technique.

Training is conducted individually or in small groups so that you gain confidence with your instructor. We will train you to a competent standard before taking-off.

You can expect practical and theoretical work, which covers flying principles, meteorology, aviation law and navigation. We believe this knowledge will accelerate your learning progress.
