Windsurfing offers in Spain

Wind and sea come together so you can enjoy one of the most exciting sports, as windsurfing along our coast is a real luxury. But to learn in good conditions, you should first know all the technical equipment you need. Take notes - we'll tell you everything!

What do I need to hit the sea and practice windsurfing?

When talking about equipment, we can always differentiate between technical gear and personal equipment:

Technical Equipment

  • Board. Made of polyethylene foam coated with epoxy resin. You stand on it, and depending on its intended use, it will have different measurements.

  • Fin or skeg. Essential to prevent drifting. If you want control over the waves, you can't do without it - located near the stern.
  • Foot straps. Ideal for beginners as they connect you to the board and facilitate certain movements once you gain some practice.
  • Daggerboard. Needed when your board is large enough to require extra control and to prevent drifting before reaching planing speed.
