Many people have never questioned their limits when exploring new horizons. The goals we aim for depend on our ability to excel, our desire to break free from daily monotony—in short, on our own ambitions.

Climbing is one of the most popular and widely practised sports each year, as it can be comfortably taken up by anyone, regardless of physical condition. Anyone willing can enter this world and gradually discover they’re gaining the ease and ability to overcome obstacles encountered along the way.
The techniques vary and adapt to different situations that may arise. Learn to master and apply them when needed:
- Dynamic climbing: Requires high coordination, as it involves vertical throws, jumps, etc.
- Static climbing: The foundation lies in the strength needed to progress gradually, point by point.
- Free climbing: In this style, the climber progresses using only their body: bare hands, feet, or by pressing and wedging against the wall. No resting is allowed, and falls require starting from scratch. It doesn’t exclude ropes, harnesses, descenders, or carabiners, but these are used solely for safety—to mitigate fall risks. It can be practised on rock, ice, or mixed terrain.
- Chimney climbing: Ascending cracks of varying widths.
- Sport climbing: Anchors are fixed to the wall, reducing climber risk. A true-to-life replica of a climbing wall.
- Big-wall climbing: Multi-day ascents requiring supplies.
- Free soloing: No ropes or protective gear are used, inherently high-risk.
- Aid climbing: Uses gear for progression, though it’s slow and laborious.
- Smearing technique: Used when no hand/foot holds are available on the route.
- Bouldering: Scaled to lower heights (with ensured falls). Crash pads or water landings (Psychobloc technique) prevent serious injury.
The variety of terrains or difficulty levels—depending on how you wish to practise—are just a few factors influencing technique choice.

That’s why you’ll find many techniques we’ve showcased here. Now it’s your turn to choose your speciality based on your needs and preferences. Dare to adventure!
