Adventure sports enthusiasts are fortunate to travel across the world and discover different places while enjoying their hobby.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel to the ends of the earth? Victoria Falls isn’t quite that, but anyone might think so after seeing images like this...

Stunning views

Victoria Falls is located between Zambia and Zimbabwe. If we had to choose one word to define it, it would probably be "spectacular". Why? We must remember that it’s a true natural paradise, forming part of two national parks: Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park (Zambia) and Victoria Falls National Park (Zimbabwe).

The falls are approximately 1.7 km wide and 108 metres high. Can you imagine the volume of water flowing over them every second? No more and no less... than a flow rate of one million litres of water per second!!! Between March and May, during the rainy season, this can reach up to five million litres per second.

The rainy season runs from November to April (with flooding in February and May), so if you visit during this time, you won’t be able to swim in the falls.

Do you know what the locals call the falls? "The Smoke that Thunders". The reason? The spray from the falling water can reach between 400 metres and, at times, 800 metres high. For this reason, you should always bring a raincoat—though with the African heat, you’ll dry off quickly.

Would you dare to take a bath?

What extreme sports can you do at Victoria Falls?

Naturally, in every corner of the world, there’s at least one adventure sport to try—don’t you think? So, unsurprisingly, Zimbabwe and Zambia are no exception.

  • Helicopter flight. You’ll experience one of the most incredible adventures imaginable, as there’s nothing quite like seeing the falls from above. The aerial views are absolutely spectacular.
  • Bungee jumping. Without a doubt, this activity is perfect for an adrenaline rush and enjoying your free time like never before. Leaping into the void, you’ll experience intense sensations in just a few seconds—something you’ll rarely feel elsewhere. Dare to take the jump?
  • Rafting. Who hasn’t dreamed of riding a river’s rapids? The Zambezi’s waters are classed as Grade V, making it extremely challenging and suited only for true thrill-seekers.
