Of all the adventure sports we can offer you, skydiving is among the most thrilling, as it lets you experience a sensation of vertigo accompanied by continuous liberation. Being able to fly like a bird and enjoy incredible landscapes isn't something you experience every day.
A tandem jump is an ideal option to enjoy nature in an extraordinary way, so you can forget what many people think when associating an outdoor day with a picnic in the countryside. This activity is completely different, as here you'll discover how to release adrenaline and say goodbye to stress. You should know that skydiving isn't permitted everywhere in Spain, so we recommend checking out the best areas to do it.

But before leaping into the void, there are unquestionable principles to consider, like always going with a professional. Ensure your instructor is qualified for such feats - otherwise it could be dangerous. Once you've found a reliable skydiving company, it's time to book the activity and jump with them.
The equipment you'll use is simple yet essential, and generally provided by the skydiving company. Take note:
- Parachute. Undoubtedly the fundamental element. There must be two - a main canopy and a reserve/emergency one attached to the harness. It has several components:
- Containers. Hold both parachutes.
- Harness. Secures the jumper and connects them to the containers via straps.
- Main and reserve canopies. Correspond to the main and reserve parachutes respectively.
- Cutaway handle. In emergencies, separates the skydiver from their main canopy.

- Main and reserve ripcords. The main opens the primary parachute and sits in a pocket at the container's end (pulled by the main instructor). The reserve deploys the emergency parachute when needed, positioned opposite the main.
- Pilot chute. When the ripcord is pulled, this device exits the container and uses airflow to deploy the main parachute.
- Automatic Activation Device (AAD). If descent speed becomes excessive relative to altitude, the reserve parachute deploys automatically.
- Steering toggles. Allow canopy control after deployment.
- Altimeter. As the name suggests, indicates altitude. Comes in two types: visual or audible.
- Helmet. You can never be too protected!
- Goggles. Keep your eyes open - without them, the wind pressure would make this impossible.
- Gloves.
- Jumpsuit with harness. Remember to wear comfortable clothing underneath, plus sturdy footwear for landing.

All this equipment is essential for safe operations, letting you properly enjoy your tandem jump. We also recommend taking a skydiving course so you can repeat the experience whenever you wish.
Finally, we suggest watching a complete skydive sequence. Epic, right?
