The Ski and Mountain-Naturiva Fair has closed its 2009 edition with less space and 10 fewer exhibitors than last year. In total, 72 stands presented the best active tourism offerings at national and international level.

Stores where you can purchase the material

Spain's two most important fairs related to rural, snow and mountain tourism have joined forces once again for three days at IFEMA to showcase a wide variety of services. The Ski and Mountain-Naturiva Fair was promoted by the Tourist Association of Ski and Mountain Resorts (ATUDEM) and organised by Promotion, Initiatives and Events (Exivia), who ensured everything ran smoothly and was well received by the public.

We saw an extensive range of leisure activities, with adventure sports taking centre stage at the event. Despite living in challenging times where economic uncertainty prevails and there's some instability in the sector, the public responded positively and embraced the opportunity for days of fun and entertainment.

 Snow and mountain exhibitors

Children and adults alike enjoyed the facilities, where beyond the exhibitors promoting services from companies and autonomous communities, they found various stages hosting spectacular demonstrations. The climbing wall hosting the National Climbing Championship was red-hot, welcoming expert climbers competing for top honours. The small ski slope saw numerous specialists performing impressive manoeuvres with winter sports equipment.

The sports equipment sales area featured countless shops where visitors could purchase clothing, skis, snowboards, boots, helmets and everything needed for a day enjoying their favourite sport. The special offers provided by these businesses - with discounts reaching up to 50% on some items during the fair - resulted in particularly busy sales.

The best offer in ski resorts

Once again, we're delighted to have attended this important event which welcomed visitors of all ages and interests, with exhibitors showcasing the country's most distinctive features: gastronomy, accommodation, travel agencies, adventure companies, active tourism and everything you could imagine for moments of pure enjoyment.
