Veral River

The Veral River originates in Zuriza, in the province of Huesca, and flows into the Aragón River passing through the towns of Berdún and Ansó.
The river begins in Zuriza and crosses the Ansó Valley until reaching the municipality of Villarreal de la Canal. There are various activities to enjoy on the river, but the standout activities are canoeing and rafting, among others.

The sections where you can go rafting are:

1. Rafting in Foz Verde

In this section you'll see a canyon of green, crystal-clear water. It's one of the most beautiful descents in the Pyrenees through limestone walls.
The section is divided into three parts: the first part features a narrow canyon with a more challenging zone, the second part is similar to the first; and the final part is a more open section with easy rapids.

It covers 5 kilometres with a difficulty level of 3. The best time to do the descent is during winter and spring months. The estimated duration is about 2 hours.

2. Rafting in Ansó Valley

The Ansó Valley is formed by two towns, Ansó and Fago. This valley was declared a Natural Park of the Western Valleys and is perfect to visit in summer as it has a cool and pleasant atmosphere. Its landscape has been shaped over the years by the watercourse.
The best time for the descent is spring when you can admire the green fields and mountain snow.

3. Rafting in Zuriza

This is a particularly beautiful section at the valley floor. The riverbed is very flat and navigable. It's divided into two parts: the first section has low flow and a small gradient. This section is known for "El paso del hombro" (The Shoulder Pass), an area with large flows. The second part ends at "Salto de la trucha" (Trout Jump), an easy section with gradients.

It covers 10 kilometres with a difficulty level of 4-5. The estimated duration is about 2-3 hours. The best time is during March, April and May.

Aragón Subordán River

The Aragón Subordán River is a tributary of the Aragón River in the province of Aragón.
It originates in the Sierra Bernera and flows through the Oza Forest, where you'll find the famous gorge "Boca del Infierno" (Hell's Mouth), and the Echo Valley, passing through the towns of Hecho, Embún, Javierregay and Puente la Reina de Jaca.
The river is 50 kilometres long and flows into the Aragón River at Puente la Reina. Its main tributary is the Osia River.

The best season for descents is during March, April and May when spring rains make the descent much easier and ideal for rafting.
It offers 33 kilometres of descent with three sections of varying difficulty: Alto Subordán, Cañón Rojo (Red Canyon) and Clásico (Classic).
