Fair warning - it won't be free. Winter sports accumulate costs like petrol, lift passes, meals, accommodation etc, but we'll significantly reduce them with these tips.
HOW TO ORGANISE A BUDGET SKI HOLIDAY

First things first - you'll want to search for deals. Nearly continuous offers exist with included lift passes, sometimes even accommodation. Crunch the numbers to see what works - call and check prices before, during and after your selected dates.
Crucial when booking winter trips. High season includes all ski season weekends, New Year weeks, mid-February (school half-term) and Easter (if season extends). All other periods are low season - we recommend travelling then (if possible) as your wallet will thank you.

Book well in advance - January for instance. After Christmas empties wallets, it's prime time for trips. Plus, you'll avoid crowds.
3. Hotel VS Apartment
While hotel service is lovely, it comes at a price. The comfort of included services and breakfasts? That's paid for - let's be honest!

Apartments are far cheaper. Yes, you'll make beds, buy breakfast, cook dinner - it's effort, but remember the savings add up.
4. Book early
None of this matters without early booking. Plan trips ahead and be proactive. Higher demand means higher prices - don't leave it till last minute. Early reservations are key.
5. Avoid slope-side restaurants

Finally, we advise against eating at slope restaurants. This doesn't mean skipping refreshment breaks - but bring lunch from your apartment. Pack sandwiches - quick, simple and cheap. Slope-side meals will significantly increase your initial ski budget, right?
Now you're equipped with these tips, we hope you maximise your holiday enjoyment
