Everything is ready for the upcoming kitesurf championship: the Spanish Cup. The venue is the magnificent Pantano del Ebro reservoir, in the municipality of Valle de Valdebezana (Cabañas de Virtus-Burgos) on 30-31 July and 1 August. An unmissable event.
The kitesurf school Extrem Center has the privilege of hosting this event that will leave no one indifferent, especially lovers of water sports, particularly kiteboarding. The event is organised in collaboration with the Northern Kitesurf and Windsurf Association (ANKW), which is registered with the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation (RFEV) and advocates for simple objectives: ensuring all kite and windsurf practitioners are federated, have third-party liability insurance, medical cover, and more.
Pantano del Ebro boasts spectacular landscapes where practising adventure sports, especially water sports, couldn't be easier. The upcoming event holds significant importance as the RFEV will award the 2010 Spanish Champion titles here.
The Spanish Cup will feature top kitesurfers like world-famous Gisela Pulido, five-time World Champion, and José Alarcón, current Spanish Champion. The excitement is guaranteed.

The rules follow the Sailing Race Regulations (RRV) and the 2010 RFEV-AEK kiteboarding class regulations. Special signals will be given from two locations: land (main signal mast) and water (signal mast on the start boat).
The competition start may depend on wind forecasts to maximise conditions, with competitors notified one day prior if timings change. Note there will be no more than 15 eliminations in the event, nor more than 5 full fleet races or 4 combined fleet/single elimination races per competition day.
Course details will be specified at the venue, designed to be completed within 15 minutes. Buoys are cylindrical, with red indicating course changes. There will be separate start and finish buoys.
